The WIN system

Two complementary tapes

For a lasting installation, the interior must be properly separated from the exterior. Used together, WIN Inside and WIN Outside provide controlled vapour diffusion, airtightness and resistance to driving rain at the window joint.

Installation

Installation in 6 steps

Applied on the metal pre-frame: bottom first, then the sides, finally the top.

Step 1 : Prepare
PrepareClean surfaces, neither damp nor greasy, coated with a thin layer of primer. Application starts at the bottom of the frame to optimise water run-off.
Step 2 : Bottom edge
Bottom edgeCut to length with overlaps, remove the film, apply on the pre-frame, then on the sill and the wall.
Step 3 : Corners
CornersApply carefully, make cuts at the right places, press down with a roller or spatula.
Step 4 : Vertical edges
Vertical edgesApply up to the height of the frame, overlapping the bottom-edge tape.
Step 5 : Top edge
Top edgeApply over the lintel in a U shape, overlapping the vertical edges.
Step 6 : Install the frame
Install the frameFill the joint with EXPA, then fit the PVC or aluminium window.
